Well, yes and no. In general, I agree with you; sounding off about your own political views in social or business settings where you don't know what others may think, and have no need to alienate anyone, is simply gauche.
On the other hand, if another person in that setting starts sounding off, using hateful and racist language toward his supposed "enemies" and spreading moronic conspiracy theories, you are entirely within your rights, I feel, to call him out on this garbage, and set him straight as best you can, at the risk of alienating him. Such people deserve to be isolated and shamed. One good approach in this context is to pull a Socratic move on him and ask, for example, "What exactly do you mean by 'woke'?"
