Whenever I read of a technological fix like this to solve a resource problem, my first questions are as follows: 1. How much energy will it take to bring this innovation to scale? 2. Where will that energy come from? And the answer will generally come down to fossil fuels, which are the most concentrated source of energy available. You see the problem? More fossil fuel exploitation will heat our climate even faster, undermining any possible environmental benefit from adopting the proposed innovative technology to pursue the fantasy of endless industrial growth.
