Where will we get the net energy to build all these "thousanda of nuclear plants" and mine and refine enough uranium to run them--without exacerbating carbon emissions and depleting our remaining fossil fuels even faster. Nuclear buildout, like wind and solar buildout, is a delusion because it fails to account for the inescapable fact that available net energy is the foundation of every economy, and always has been. So we need to abandon all fantasies of building out a "renewable infrastructure" so that the delusion of infinite growth in production and consumption of commodities can go on ad infinitum. Those who relocalize, reduce, re-use, recycle, and grow gardens, community and awareness will have the only reasonable chance of surviving the inevitable collapse of our global market economy and industrial infrastructures...
