While I don’t share your ebullient optimism about the future, we agree entirely, as fellow Gaians, about one thing: we’re on our own now, so our best bet is to nurture our own and others’ health, competence, and resilience by starting in our own backyards: growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness by learning, teaching, healing, and creating. In this way, even after our fossil fuel and money-based global market economy collapses (as it must) we Gaians, in our own backyards and communities, can be busy planting the seeds of a Gaian future that may eventually lead to the spontaneous remission of the Glomart Cancer of the Earth. And even if I am wrong and we’re all doomed, we can still spend our remaining time doing all of the above and practicing Earth care, People care, and Fair Share, right where we are, here and now, till we draw our last breath and return to Gaia…
