Why should the US support a "Jewish State" when our First Amendment demands complete separation of religious affiliation and citizenship rights?

A "Jewish Democracy" is, lika an "Islamic Democracy" or a "Christian Democracy," an oxymoron. Real democracy presupposes granting citizenship or agency (through voting and appeals for legal redress) to all those who are subject to a specific legal regime.
