You are quite right that as climate chaos increases, people will be increasingly drawn to the snake-oil promises of authoritarian strongmen and clownish demagogues like Trump who claim that only they have the power to fix everything and restore the mythical golden days—as they launch their oligarchic reign of terror.

This is a time for people who are aware—people of conscience—to take refuge, cultivate inner resilience, study and practice Satyagraha (nonviolent noncooperation with evil), grow gardens, grow community, grow awareness, and practice mindfulness and compassion toward all who need it—withdrawing our support from the money game and speaking truth to power—mindfully, strategically, and relentlessly.
