You hit the nail on the head, yet again. There is no “solution” to the global crisis, short of cataclysmic collapse of our global market economy, which will result in a horrific mass die-off of most of humanity (and all other vertebrates as well, most likely) And it won’t be pretty. Who, if anyone, will survive? Those who, starting today, bend their efforts to growing gardens, growing community, and growing awareness will have the best chance, but even they will be vulnerable to swarms of desperate, hungry marauders. But as with herding animals who, stalked by predators, find strength in numbers, the safest will be those who live in contiguous, well-organized neighborhoods, growing their own food, sharing skills, networking with other neighborhoods, and defending one another…if we’re lucky!
