Your assessment of the problem is spot-on. Trump, loathesome though he is, is the archetypal embodiment of America's Shadow (in Jungian terms) and as we all know, true devils (another, older name for this archetype when it manifests) can never be entirely defeated or suppressed--the vampire always rises again.

But you are one vote--not enough to offset the rampant, malignant psychosis of today's Republican voters. My best hope for putting an end to Trump lies with Merrick Garland to indict and arrest him on multiple charges where his guilt is already proven beyond any reasonable doubt. Garland, in his patience, integrity, and quiet deliberation, may yet be Trump's nemesis. Let us hope!
